WEBSTER- Vivian Solberg, 82 of Webster died on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 12, 2007 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. William Olsen officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date at Webster Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Fiksdal Funeral Service of Webster is in charge of the arrangements. Vivian Carol Murschel was born on Friday, March 21, 1924 to John and Gerty (Soyland) Murschel in Webster, South Dakota. The family lived at Butler where she was raised. She was baptized and confirmed at Butler Lutheran Church. She attended school at Butler and graduated in the last graduating class at Butler High School. On March 10, 1944 she married LeRoy Solberg at Lily, South Dakota. After their marriage the couple made their home in Webster. She worked for Herb Roth in his Laundromat and worked at Bethesda Home for many years until her retirement. LeRoy passed away in October 1980. After his death she continued to live in Webster until she entered Sun Dial Manor in March 2005. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster. She loved to play cards, baking, working crosswords and spending time on the phone visiting with family and friends. She always loved having company for coffee and spending time with her grandchildren. Vivian passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Bristol, South Dakota at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 16 days. Survivors include one son, Richard Solberg of Webster, SD; one daughter, Janet Marx of Webster, SD; one sister, Edythe Hjermstad of Webster, SD; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Earl, Leonard and Marvin.
