Ruby Fellbaum 90, of Webster died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Bethesda Home in Webster. Her funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at American Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. Jan FitzGibbon officiating. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday 5-7 P.M. and prior to services at the church. Ruby Eloise Hagen was born on Sunday, October 8, 1922 to Reuben and Elvera (Peterson) Hagen in Britton, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. When Ruby was three years old her mother passed away. She then lived with an aunt and uncle north of Webster where she attended country school. After her father, Reuben, was remarried to Agnes (Hagen) the family was reunited and Ruby completed her education. On June 8, 1941 she was united in marriage to Alvin Fellbaum at Webster. The couple made their home in Webster where they owned and managed the Coast-To-Coast Hardware store and later Hardware Hank until their retirement. Alvin passed away in May 2003. After his death she continued to live in her own home. She also lived at Strand-Kjorsvig Rest Home in Roslyn, assisted living in Watertown and entered Bethesda Home in Webster in September 2012. She was a member of American Lutheran Church in Webster where she was active in Circle, W.E.L.C.A., Sunday School and many other activities in the church. Ruby enjoyed her family and friends. Her home was always open with her serving love and food. Her children and grandchildren were very dear to her heart. Ruby passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Webster, South Dakota at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 21 days. Ruby is survived by two sons, Dale (Alice) Fellbaum and Doug Fellbaum both of Webster; two daughters, Cheryl Hewitt of Watertown and Patty (Tom) O’Bryan of Woodland Hills, CA; a daughter-in-law, Gail Fellbaum of Webster; one brother, Norman Hagen of Liberty, MO; a sister, Phyllis (Morris) Bjornebo of St. Paul, MN; a half-sister, Beverly (John) Owen of Watertown, SD; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Gene, one granddaughter, Kathryn, a son-in-law, Alan Hewitt, one brother, Virgil Hagen, and sisters-in-law, Alice Hagen and Adeline Hagen.
