Roger Klebe Sr.

Roger Klebe Sr., 77, of Sioux Falls, SD, and formerly of Waubay, SD, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster, South Dakota and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Pastor Tim Martin will officiate. Desserts and coffee will be served following the service.

Burial will be on June 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakewood Cemetery, Waubay, SD.

Roger Peyton Klebe Sr. was born on March 14, 1945, in Sisseton, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Roger graduated from Waubay High School in 1963.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty” Fredrick in Minneapolis, MN on February 19, 1970. The couple made their home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Roger worked at a salvage company in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Roger and Betty later moved to Milaca, Minnesota. To this union two sons were born: Roger Silas Jr. and Maurice Lee. The family moved to Waubay, South Dakota in 1984. Roger Sr. worked on various construction road projects, Dakota Poultry, and Dakota Sioux Casino. Due to health problems Roger was forced into retirement in 2009. When he lived in Waubay, he enjoyed going on tow truck runs with Carlton Barse Sr. He loved to work on word search puzzles, watching old western shows. Above all he loved spending time with his family. Betty passed away in 2001 and Roger moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2009.

Roger will be deeply missed by his sons: Roger Jr. (Tami Titze) Klebe of Sioux Falls, SD and Maurice Klebe of Marshfield, WI; one grandson, Blayde Klebe of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Klebe, brother Nathaniel “Tuffy” Aadland, and sister, Delores “Dutchie” Barse.
