WEBSTER- Robert “Bob” Zakrzewski, 65 of Webster died on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Webster. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster with burial in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Grenville. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Friday 1-4, then continuing at the church with a 7:00 P.M. Scriptural prayer service. Robert “Bob” Zakrzewski was born on Wednesday, July 17, 1940 to Theodore and Philamena (Wika) Zakrzewski at Grenville, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grenville. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from Roslyn High School in 1958. After he received his education he began working with his father doing carpentry and shingling in the area. On April 8, 1962 he married Carole Biggar. After their marriage the couple made their home in several towns including, Grenville, Webster, Rapid City and Denver, Colorado. In 1972 he returned to Grenville. In 1980 he moved to Webster and on February 14, 1984 he married Rita (Hartberg) Johnson. They continued to live in Webster where he continued with his construction work and shingling until the present time. He enjoyed watching sports, cooking, bingo and discussing politics. He loved having coffee and visiting with friends. He also enjoyed helping his neighbors. Bob passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Webster, South Dakota at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 16 days. Survivors include his wife, Rita Johnson of Webster; three sons, Robert (Stephanie) Zakrzewski of Hubert, NC, Ray and Ross Zakrzewski both of Webster, SD; three daughters, Laura Zakrzewski of Sioux Falls, SD, Shonda (Brian) Johnson of Scotland, SD and Jayne Johnson of Webster, SD; four brothers, Arnold (Rose) Zakrzewski of Roslyn, SD, Ted (Sally) Zakrzewski of Thornton, CO, Damian (JoAnn) Zakrzewski of St. Paul, MN and James (Teresa) Zakrzewski of Maplewood, MN; one sister, Michaeline (Ray) Williams of Fridley, MN; eight grandchildren; and his dog, Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one daughter.
