Robert Clemen

Robert Clemen, 80, of  Minneapolis, MN, and formerly of Bristol, SD, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at HCMC in Minneapolis.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster, SD. Luncheon will be served following the service in the basement. We will depart from Fiksdal Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. for burial at Bristol Cemetery in Bristol, SD.

Robert was born to Leo and Bertha ( Boldes) Clemen on September 20, 1942 in Webster, SD. Robert grew up in Bristol, SD and graduated from Bristol High School in 1960. After High school he worked for Northern Public service Company until he was drafted into the U. S Army during the Vietnam War. After his service in the Army, he worked for Hartford steam Boiler Insurance company in Minneapolis where he would meet and marry Janiel Bemel. He later worked for the U.S. Post Office in Minneapolis until he retired in 2004. Robert enjoyed playing poker at Canterbury Downs, working on his baseball project, watching Baseball, and Spending time with his Grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife Janiel; one daughter Elysia (Adam) Jellison of Yukon, OK; sister, Nancy Olson of Dassel, MN; grandsons, Cameron, Jacob, Aaron, and Lucas Jellison; along with many nieces and nephews. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Bertha Clemen; sister Margaret Woods; two brothers-in-laws, Leroy Woods and Roy Olson.
