Ramona Herr

Ramona Herr, 80 of Webster died Friday February 3, 2012 at Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls. Her funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday February 7, 2012 at American Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. Jan FitzGibbon will officiate. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 5-8 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Ramona JoAnn Franson was born on Monday September 7, 1931 to Oscar and Martha (Johnson) Franson at their family farm northwest of Holmquist, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended school in Bristol, South Dakota graduating in 1949. On November 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Herr at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bristol. The couple made their home in Webster, South Dakota. Ramona worked many years as a beautician until she shifted gears and began working at Dakotah Inc. in 1980. She was employed there for 21 years. She was a member of American Lutheran Church in Webster. Ramona loved music and enjoyed being in the Adult Choir at American Lutheran Church for many years. She was also active in Ruth Circle and W.E.L.C.A. Ramona passed away Friday February 3, 2012 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 27 days. She is survived by three sons, Todd(Lillian) Herr of Webster, SD, Dana (Brenda) Herr of Brandon, SD, and Troy (Amy) Herr of Andover, MN, seven grandchildren, Nikki, Heather, Cody, Jamie, Josh, Jordyn, and Allyson, three great-grandchildren, Ciara, Kendall, and Caden, and one very special friend Herb Horter of Bristol, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
