BRISTOL-Palma Luckow, 76 of Bristol died on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Southridge Healthcare Center in Sioux Falls. Her funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 7, 2008 at Butler Lutheran Church in Butler with Janet Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Mound Cemetery, Butler. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Thursday 4-7 P.M. and prior to services on Friday at the church. Palma Christofa Didrickson was born on Saturday, November 21, 1931 to Christopher and Johanna (Anderson) Didrickson in Marshall County, South Dakota near Amherst. She graduated from Britton High School in 1949. After high school she was employed for fifteen years with the Lutheran Hospital and Home Society in Britton and Spearfish, South Dakota. On December 27, 1964 she married Frederick “Fritz” Luckow at First Lutheran Church in Britton. The couple resided in Butler. They enjoyed gardening and raising Corgie dogs. They had many memorable trips including one trip to California in 1978 where Fritz was a contestant and prize winner on the Price is Right television show. Palma was an Avon Representative for many years. The couple moved to Bristol in 1979. Mr. Luckow passed away in September 1979. She was manager of Carlson Apartments for many years and was a bookkeeper for Holmlquist Elevator for a time. She was an active member of Butler Lutheran Church where she was a past advisor to the Lily-Butler Luther League. She accompanied several groups to National Conventions. She served on the committee organizing the Butler Centennial and pageant. She was a member of the Bristol V.F.W. Auxiliary, Bristol Senior Citizens and served on the Board of Directors of Sun Dial Manor. Both her and husband were active in the Democratic Party. Both of her parents were from Norway and she was proud of her Norwegian heritage. She recently enjoyed a visit from a cousin from Norway. Palma passed away on Friday, February 29, 2008 at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 8 days. Survivors include a nephew, Robert (Michelle) Didrickson of Port Haywood, VA, their children and several cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother
