Otto Walter Deuschle

BRISTOL- Otto Deuschle 90 of Bristol died on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol. His funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 23, 2009 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster, Rev. Jan FitzGibbon officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery, Butler. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service (fiksdalfuneral.com) on Sunday 5-7 P.M. and prior to services on Monday. Otto Walter Deuschle was born on Saturday, March 30, 1918 in Butler, South Dakota to Karl and Bertha (Herr) Deuschle. He was baptized and confirmed at Butler Lutheran Church. He attended the rural school near his home. After his education he stayed on the farm and farmed with his parents. In 1943, when his parents moved to Webster, He took over the farm. In the mid 1980’s, he moved to Webster and rented his farm to his nephews. While he lived in Webster, he always kept a large garden and fruit trees. In 2002 he moved to the Johnson Center in Bristol, South Dakota and later to Sun Dial Manor in Bristol. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting. trapping, and fishing. Otto passed away at Bristol, South Dakota at the age of 90 years, 10 months, and 20 days. He is survived by one sister, Vera Sunne of Watertown, SD and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
