Opal Quale

Opal Quale, 90, of Webster, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at Sanford Hospital, Webster.

Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Webster. Burial will be at the Webster Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Opal Ruth Quale was born on April 22, 1934 to Ole and Julia (Nelson) Helgeson in Webster, South Dakota. She attended Webster school. She went on to be blissfully wed to Keith Quale on November 19, 1955. The couple made their home in Webster, South Dakota for a short time and then relocated to Minnesota. After 14 years they moved back to Webster where Opal worked as a cashier.

Opal was a member at St. John’s Church and helped with the Ladies Circle. She enjoyed crocheting and word-search books. She also loved her dogs, Boston and Susie were some of her favorites. Opal was a kind soul who had loved abundantly.

Opal peacefully passed on March 7, 2025 at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 13 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ole and Julia (Nelson) Helgeson, husband Keith Quale, sister June (Helgeson) Carlson, twin brother Olen Helgeson, brother Donald “Red” Helgeson, and sister Diane (Helgeson) Frazer.
