Marjorie Jensen 82, of Webster died on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Webster. Her funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. William Olsen officiating. Burial will be at Bristol Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday 5-7 P.M. ending with a 7 P.M. prayer service. Marjorie Bernice Scott was born on July 5, 1933 to John and Elsie (Seide) Scott in Waverly, South Dakota. The family moved to Bristol when she was a young child and she attended school there through high school graduation. She was united in marriage to Duane Jensen on May 21, 1952 in Bristol. The couple made their home in Bristol for a short time and moved to Roslyn when Duane returned from the service. They returned to Bristol after residing in Roslyn for a few years. The family moved to Boulder, CO in 1957 and eventually returned to Roslyn. They stayed in Roslyn until moving to Sisseton, SD in 1965 after purchasing a meat locker plant where Margie worked alongside Duane until 1975. From 1975 to 1981 the couple lived in Wahpeton, ND until Duane was transferred to Pierre, SD. Margie enjoyed working at the Pierre Flower Shop while in Pierre. Other places of residence included Watertown, SD and Morris, MN until they settled in Webster, SD in 1982. Both Duane and Margie worked at Mike’s Jack & Jill in Webster until their retirement in 1993. Margie was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Webster where she was a member of Hannah Circle. She taught Sunday School and was a Cub Scout Den Mother during the years the family lived in Sisseton. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of Eastern Star. In her free time Margie enjoyed baking, sewing, flower gardening and many good friends everywhere they lived. She is survived by her husband Duane of Webster; one daughter Deborah (David) Gilbertson; two sons, Dennis (Mary) Jensen of Sisseton, SD and Scott Jensen of Webster, SD; six grandchildren, Adam Jensen (Brittny Studier), Scott Jensen, Kristin (Clifton) Gilbertson-Curry, Erik Gilbertson (Lauren Fosheim), Rachael Gilbertson, and John Gilbertson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her only sibling Roy Scott.
