Louise Pruszinski

Louise Pruszinski, 82, of Waubay, South Dakota, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Sanford Hospital in Webster, South Dakota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Waubay. Father Doug Binsfeld will officiate. Luncheon will follow at the Waubay Senior Citizen Center.

Inurnment will be at a later date.

Louise Marie Pruszinski was born on March 21, 1940, at Waubay, South Dakota to Peter and Regina (Lewandowski) Pruszinski. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grenville, South Dakota. The family made their home on a farm east of Pickerel Lake, where they were engaged in farming. She attended country school at Kosciusko #201 near their home. She later attended and graduated from Waubay High School in 1958. After her education she worked various jobs, one of which was Schiltz Goose Processing while still working on the family farm. She retired from working in 2013 when she and her brother, Marion moved to Waubay. Louise loved working on the farm. She enjoyed taking care of her cats and sheep.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Martin and Marion, and one sister, Marcella Blood.
