WEBSTER- Loretta Haight, 87 of Aberdeen and formerly of Webster and Watertown died on Friday, July 02, 2010 at her home in Aberdeen. Her Funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday July 6, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Webster with Rev. John Hisel officiating. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 5-8 P.M. at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Loretta Arlene Buck was born on April 6, 1923 to Albert and Amanda (Reiprich) Buck on the Buck family farm southwest of Webster. She attended country school near her home. On July 25, 1942 she married Rudolph (Rudy) Whitmyre at Webster, South Dakota. The couple made their home and farmed in Butler Township. They were blessed with three daughters, Marlene, Maxine and Judy. In 1976, upon retiring from farming, they moved to Webster, SD. Rudy and Loretta celebrated 52 years of marriage until Rudy passed away in September 1994. She met Floyd Haight in Watertown, SD and on April 16, 1998, they were married. They made their home in Watertown and danced through life until Floyd passed away in June 2003. In 2005, she relocated to Aberdeen to live near a daughter. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Webster. She loved crocheting, needlework and following the Minnesota Twins. Loretta was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her humor, smiles and dancing abilities could light up a room. Loretta passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010 in Aberdeen, South Dakota surrounded by family at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 16 days. Survivors include three daughters, Marlene (Al) Ferguson of Aberdeen, SD, Maxine (Roy) Smith of Detroit Lakes, MN, Judy (Larry) Reil of Wilmot, SD; eight grandchilden, seventeen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, three brothers and three sisters.
