ABERDEEN- Loren Dale, 54 of Aberdeen and formerly of Webster died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at his home in Aberdeen. His funeral will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster, Rev. Terrill and Rev. Sara Sorensen will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Hillside Cemetery, Lily. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Friday 5-7 P.M. and one hour prior to services on Saturday. fiksdalfuneral.com. Loren Robert Dale was born at Webster, South Dakota to Robert and Doris (Schoenbeck) Dale of Lily, South Dakota on Sunday June 12, 1955. He was baptized and confirmed at Lily Lutheran Church. He lived with his family on farms near Lily and Bradley before moving to the Dale family farm in Highland Township, Day County, east of Lily. He attended country school and in Lily, graduating from Webster High School in 1973. He also attended Watertown Business College and Lake Area Vo-Tech. Loren worked and lived at various places until moving to Aberdeen in 1995 where he worked at Midstates Printing and Wal-Mart. He was married to Marianne Roehr for twenty years, three daughters were born to the couple, Anna Marie, Elizabeth Frances and Hope Amanda. Loren enjoyed spending time with his daughters. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying hunting and fishing. When he was young he was involved on the family farm and was a 4-H member. He was a member of Lily Lutheran Church until it closed and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Aberdeen. Loren died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Aberdeen, South Dakota at the age of 54 years, 6 months and 24 days. Grateful for sharing his life are his three daughters, Anna, Elizabeth and Hope Dale all of Aberdeen, SD; a granddaughter, Jordyn Raquel Oakes; two significant sons, Robert “Bob” Oakes and Nick Juenger, three special girls, Stephanie, Christine and Nicole; one brother, Ron (Kay) Dale of Roberts, WI; three nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
