Lonnie Aadson, 64 of Sioux Falls and formerly of Webster died on Thursday April 7, 2011 at Covington Heights Nursing Home in Sioux Falls.
His funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster. Rev. Daniel Ostercamp will officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Highland Lutheran Cemetery near Lily. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Lonnie Lynn Aadson was born on Wednesday, February 5, 1947 to Emil and Myrtle (Monson) Aadson at the Peabody Memorial Hospital in Webster. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Webster. He grew up in Webster and graduated from Webster High School in 1965. On January 3, 1967 he entered the U. S. Air Force and served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge in June 1973 he returned to Webster where he was a painter and worked at the V.F. W. Club. In 1989 he moved to Sioux Falls.
On December 23, 1989 he was united in marriage to Mary Anderson at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. He was employed at Jordan Millwork, Behr Industries, Hutchinson Technology, Tyco Corp and Graco Corp. In 2006 he retired due to poor health.
His hobbies included golf, pool, fishing, painting, yard work and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He was a supporter of his son and his sporting activities and loved being with family and friends.
Lonnie passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 2 days.
Survivors include one son, Brett Aadson of Watertown, SD; one sister, Ladonna Bailey of Aberdeen, SD; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and a brother-in-law.
