Lois Babcock, 82 of Webster died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at her home in Webster.

Lois Lurree Turney was born on November 26, 1931 to Wesley and Dorothy (Tacker) Turney at Garfield, Arkansas. She grew up there and attended elementary and high school.
She was united in marriage to John A. Babcock in April 1947. After their marriage the couple moved to Idaho where she was employed in harvesting potatoes. In 1965 they moved to Eugene, Oregon. She worked for thirty three years in food processing and eventually became a supervisor for the plant where she worked. She retired in 1992. After retirement the couple moved to Webster in 1994. John passed away in 2003. After his death she continued to live in her home until the present time.
Lois loved to read and play yahtzee.
Survivors include four sons, Richard (Bobby) Babcock of Newburg, OR, Glen (Paula) Babcock of Springfield, OR, Ralph Babcock of Redmond, OR and Kenneth (Terri) Babcock of Yelm, WA; one daughter, Terry (Jack) Chastain of Webster, SD; three sisters, Maxine Posey of Wichita, KS, Marjorie Mullican of Eugene, OR and Mary Anderson of Eugene, OR; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
