Linda Herrick, 70, of Webster passed away Wednesday October 28, 2020 at her home in Webster. Private family services will be 11:00 A. M Thursday November 5, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Burial will be at Fron Lutheran Cemetery near Roslyn. Public walk through visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Linda Eileen (Olson) Herrick was born on May 18,1950 to Norman and Bernice (Peterson) Olson in Webster, SD. She attended elementary country school at Liberty # 124 in Day County. Linda graduated from Roslyn High School in 1968. Following high school, she attended Northern State University and earned her degree in Clinical Pathology. She was employed at Avera Mckennen Hospital in Sioux Falls and the Webster Clinic. She met the love of her life, Sylvester Herrick, while fishing. They married July 25,1981. They made their first home in Webster and later moved to a farm north of Webster. In 1991, she finally became a Mom when the couple adopted Jessica. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and volunteered several years as Sunday School Superintendent. She also served as a 4-H leader. Linda loved card games, board games, sudoku puzzles, fishing, gardening, crafting, painting, baking and canning. She enjoyed listening to Kenny Rogers, Oakridge Boys and Sherwin Linton. At Christmas, you would always be sure to get some of her best goodies which included fudge, kringle and lefsa. She was such a proud Grandma and took great joy in sharing pictures of Mallory, Owen, and Carter with family and friends! She also loved spoiling them with goodies and treats every chance she got! She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jessica (Nick) Snaza of Webster, SD, three grandchildren Mallory, Owen and Carter Snaza, 2 brothers: James Olson, Sioux Falls, SD., Jerry (Sylvia) Olson, Yankton, SD and one sister Janice (Joe) Cook, Grand Island, Nebraska. Nieces: Heather (Aaron) Moen, Sioux Falls, SD, Heidi Olson, Sioux Falls, SD. Nikki (Ken) Gill, Dallas, Texas, Nephew: Brandon Cook, Manhattan, Kansas and five great nieces and one great nephew. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Sylvester Herrick and her parents.
