Lenore Zochert 82 of Webster died Friday August 2, 2013 at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown.
Her funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday August 6, 2013 at American Lutheran Church in Webster. Reverend Jan FitzGibbon will officiate. Burial will be in the Webster cemetery.

Lenore Kathryn Nygaard was born on Tuesday March 17, 1931, to James Russell and Helen Marie (Sivanich) Nygaard in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was one of four children and graduated from Edison High school in northeast Minneapolis.
On November 26, 1949, she was united in marriage to Ivan Zochert in Webster, South Dakota. Following their marriage, the couple made their home on their farm near Webster, South Dakota, and raised their six children. Lenore was a devoted mother and loving wife. She was well known for her love of music, with her beautiful alto voice and involvement in the church choir, including leading the Early Birds children's choir. Lenore was artistically gifted. She had a creative style for crafting, sewing, and calligraphy. She was also an exceptional gardener, baker, and cook.
Lenore was loved by many and will be sadly missed by her husband, Ivan, of Webster, SD, her daughters; Lee (Alan) Swanson of Lake Norden, SD, Linnea (Doug) Tani of Roseville, MN, Carrie Zochert (John Trojohn) of Edina, MN, Kathryn (Guy) Berg of Woodbury, MN; her sons, Neil (Cheryl) Zochert of Webster, SD,and Dean Zochert of Albuquerque, NM, her 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a brother, John (Gloria) Nygaard of St. Paul, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Beverly, and her brother David.
