Leland “Lee” Brudvig, 74, of Webster passed away Monday November 30, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Webster. A private funeral mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday December 5, 2020 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Inurnment will be at St. Otto’s Catholic Cemetery. Walk through memorial visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Leland Howard Brudvig was born on September 25, 1946 to Helmer and Rose (Aalgaard) Brudvig in Sharon, North Dakota. He attended country school near the family home until 6th grade and went on to graduate from Cooperstown High School in 1965. After his education he worked various jobs in the area before moving to Fargo, North Dakota. There he worked for FM vending where he was re-introduced to the love of his life, Patricia Fiebiger. The couple began dating and married on November 23, 1968 at Cooperstown. The couple made their home in Fargo for a short time before moving to Eugene, Oregon where he worked at a sawmill. In 1971, the couple moved back to Cooperstown and in 1974, the family moved to Webster, South Dakota, and in 1975 the couple purchased Peterson & Hay and changed the name to Day County Electric which was later named Day Co. TV and Appliance in 1990. Lee was forced into early retirement in April 2008. Leland was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and participated in the Webster bowling league. He was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed time spent fly fishing, canoeing, rafting, and photography. He also cherished the many camping trips with his sons and their friends. Leland was a loving and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Leland passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the age of 74 years, 2 months, and 5 days. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Brudvig of Webster, SD; three sons, Matthew (Kristin) and their daughter, Madelyn Brudvig of Sioux Falls, SD, Barrett (Ashley) Brudvig of Aberdeen, SD, and Aaron (Hope) and their children, Greyson and Evelyn Brudvig of Aberdeen, SD; two daughters, Laurie (Jim) and their sons, Trevor and Dylan Grimes of Webster, SD and Pam (Paul) and their sons, Jacob and Seth Barse of Webster, SD; two brothers, Harvey (Kay) Brudvig of Fargo, ND and Lyle (Darlyne) Brudvig of Dickinson, ND; one sister-in-law Debbie Brudvig of Bella Vista, AK; and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Duane.
