WEBSTER – Lattie Trautner 91 of Webster passed away Sunday May 12, 2019 at Strand Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Friday May 17, 2019 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster. Burial will be at St. Ottos Catholic Cemetery near Webster. Visitation will be Thursday 5-7 P.M. closing with a wake service at 7 P.M. all at the church. Lattie Edna Stromseth was born on March 11, 1928 to Elmer and Mary (Etl) Stromseth in Day County, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eden. She was one of eleven children. The family lived North of Roslyn and attended country school in Liberty Township through eighth grade. After her education she helped farm with her family. She was united in marriage to Adalbert (AJ) Trautner on June 3, 1947. The couple made their home North of Roslyn, South Dakota where they farmed and raised seven children. Lattie worked aside AJ doing farm work and lots of cooking. AJ and Lattie moved to Webster 31 years ago. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster and a former member of Sacred Heart Church in Eden. She was also active in the Alter Society in both parishes. Lattie passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Roslyn, South Dakota at the age of 91 years 2 months and 1 day. She will be greatly missed by her children; Larry (DeAnna) Trautner of Roslyn, SD, Diane (Roy) Greiner of Wilmot, SD, Anthony (Sharon) Trautner of Rapid City, SD, John (Raenell) Trautner of Webster, SD, David (Helen) Trautner of Roslyn, SD, Donald (Cheryl) Trautner of Roslyn, SD, one brother; Albin Stromseth of Watertown, SD, four sisters; Doris (Carl) Block of Waubay, SD, Quentin (Jan) Stromseth of Sun City West, AZ, Myrene (Leo) Gaikowski of Webster, SD, Darlene Oberg of Virginia, MN; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son James Trautner, and one grandson, Dale Trautner.
