Lambert Bauer, 83 of Webster died on Tuesday,August 29, 2017 at Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster. Military interment will be at Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday 5-7 P.M. ending with a 7 P.M. Rosary. Lambert George Bauer was born on April 20, 1934 to Lambert and Mary (Fink) Bauer in Britton, South Dakota. He grew up on a farm southeast of Britton and attended Ft. Sisseton Country School. In 1956 he joined the U.S. Army. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Joy “Lolly” Roth on April 3, 1957 at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas. After he was discharged the couple moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he worked for John Morrell Co. until 1966 when they moved to Webster. The couple owned and operated L & L Lanes until 2012. To this union six children were born, five boys and one girl. Lolly passed away in September 2013. After her death he continued to live in his home and helped out at the bowling alley. He enjoyed bowling and entered many bowling tournaments with his kids and friends. His other hobbies he enjoyed were hunting and fishing with his sons. He also liked to try his luck with Keno from time to time. He also enjoyed spending time with all of his grandkids and great grandchildren. Lambert passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Strand-Kjorsvig Living Center in Roslyn after a short battle with cancer at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 9 days. Survivors include his children, Randy (Lila), Bret (Barb), Cheryl (Bob), Ron (special friend, Tina), Mark and Scott (Pam); two sisters, Barb Vanderpoel and Sally Osiecki; twenty grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lolly of 56 years, two brothers, Vernon and Edward and three sisters, Betty, Marion and Bernie. He will be greatly missed…..
