Ladean Sauer

Ladean Sauer, 60 of Bristol died on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol. His funeral will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2012 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol, Rev. Janet Miller officiating. Burial will be at Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, 5-7 P.M. and prior to services on Friday. Ladean Sauer was born on Tuesday, July 29, 1952 to Allen and Alta (Smith) Sauer at Peabody Hospital in Webster and was born with Cerebral Palsy. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Bristol. He grew up in Webster. He attended school in Webster as long as he was able. Because of his health he entered Sun Dial Manor in Bristol in 1974 where he has resided since. Ladean enjoyed following his favorite sports teams, the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings for which, he had a sharp memory of all the game details. He made many friends during his stay at Sun Dial Manor and always enjoyed their company when they would visit, he could remember the voice or footsteps of all those those who visited. He was one of the family to those that worked at the home. Ladean passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Bristol, South Dakota at the age of 60 years and 28 days. Survivors include two brothers-in-law, Donald “Buddy” Johnson of Webster and Jim Stanley, Sr. of Hopkins, MN; and two nephews, David (Kari) Hurne of Colorado and Jim (Kelly) Stanley, Jr. of Mayer, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, LaVonne Stanley and LaVerne Johnson.
