WEBSTER – Keith J. Quale 86 of Webster passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 at Sanford Hospital Webster.
A memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday February 16, 2018 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Webster. Rev. Mike DeKraai will officiate.
Keith Joal Quale was born on February 1, 1932 to John and Emma (Hartman) Quale. He grew up and attended school in Summit, South Dakota. After his education, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1953. After faithfully serving his country, Keith began working for the railroad.
On November 19, 1955, he was united in marriage to Opal Helgeson. The couple made their home in Webster, South Dakota for a short time and then relocated to Minnesota. Keith took employment with the Minnesota Highway Department. After fourteen years, the couple returned to Webster where Keith worked at Community Oil until his retirement. After retirement, he enjoyed driving school bus. His bus kids were so special to him. He also worked at the VFW in Webster on a part time basis.
Keith enjoyed hunting pheasant followed by a good pheasant meal. He also enjoyed time spent with his family and many friends. Keith was a witty and kind man and will be missed by many.
He will be forever loved by his wife Opal of Webster, SD, one brother Curt Quale of MN, one sister Nadine Baker of OR, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and in-laws; Carol (Bud) Thorpe, Wayne (Darlene & Lynne) Quale, Charles Quale, Neil Quale, Gene (Gunner) Carlson, Germaine Shearer, Lloyd Dobson, and Howard Baker.
Memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
