Kay Gabur

Kay Gabur of Bristol and formerly of rural Lily passed away Saturday March 20, 2021 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol. Her wishes were to be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time. A private family burial will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillside Cemetery near Lily. Kay Frances Sundberg was born on February 1, 1944 to Bernard and Mildred (Smeins) Sundberg at Bristol, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Webster, South Dakota. She grew up in Webster and attended Webster High School. She was united in marriage to Henry Gabur on June 8, 1963. The couple made their home in Butler, South Dakota. In 1965 they moved to Lily, South Dakota. Kay worked at Dakotah Inc. in Webster where she sewed and had other jobs within the company. Henry passed away in February 1992. Kay continued to live in Lily until moving to Sun Dial Manor in Bristol in 2016. Kay loved her dogs and cats and she also enjoyed collecting dolls. She will be missed by her brother Duane (Iola) Sundberg of Aberdeen, SD and five nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters.
