SALEM, OR- Jerome “Jerry” Opsahl 47 of Salem, OR died on Saturday, January 5, 2007 at his home in Salem. His funeral will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster, Rev. William Olsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Fron Lutheran Cemetery near Roslyn. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Jerome “Jerry” Allyn Opsahl was born on August 19, 1960 to E. Clifford and Loretta (Amundson) Opsahl at Long Beach, California. He grew up there and began his schooling in Long Beach. Jerry came to the Silverton, Oregon area in 1975 and graduated from Silverton High School in 1979. He worked at Furrows for several years until he started his own business, Jerry O’s Cabinet Designs. He belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in Silverton. He was an avid car collector and enjoyed his computer. He married Linda in 1981 and they had a son, Jeffrey and became step-father to David, Carl, Angie and Kari all who survive him. He is also survived by his mother, Loretta Opsahl of Silverton. He was preceded in death by his father.
