WEBSTER, - Jason Wesley Nolte, 42, of Webster, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Webster. .
Memorial services will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday December 21, 219 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. Chris Strohm will officiate.
Memorial visitation will be 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 P.M. on Friday at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster. Fiksdalfuneral.com

Jason Wesley Nolte was born to Wes and Karen (Erickson) Nolte at Aberdeen, South Dakota. He was baptized at Dakota Midland Hospital in Aberdeen and confirmed at Butler Lutheran Church. The family made their home southwest of Webster. Jason attended school in Webster and graduated from WHS in 1995. After graduation he attended South Dakota School Of Mines, majoring in engineering. Jason then relocated to Las Vegas and attended UNLV. For the next 17 years, he made his home in Vegas and worked in security. While in Vegas, he met his future wife, Miranda Phelps. In 2013, the couple moved to Webster. Jason began farming alongside his Dad, Wes, Brother, Brad, and Uncle, Wayne.
On December 1, 2017 Jason and Miranda were married at Cathedral of St. Joseph in Sioux Falls. The couple made their home in Webster. This past July they were blessed with twins, Wesley James and Evangeline Mae.
Jason was a lifelong member of Butler Lutheran Church. While in high school he enjoyed football, wrestling, and track. Jason was an avid gun and knife collector, often watching for his next purchase for his collection. He loved spending time at the family cabin as well as trips to the Black Hills. He enjoyed a robust IPA’s, a nice strong scotch, taking pictures, caring for his cattle, and a good debate. Above all else, he was a family man who cherished his time with his family and friends.
Jason will be missed beyond measure by his wife Miranda and children; Wesley & Evangeline, parents Wes and Karen Nolte, brother Brad (Cory) Nolte, sister Alyssa (Joel) Shoemaker, grandmothers; Donna Nolte and Lorraine Erickson all of Webster, SD. He also will be greatly missed by his nephews and nieces; Chayse, Jack, Drake, Huck, Layla, Waylon, Jack, Lennon, and Cody. He is also survived by in-laws Jim and Theresa Phelps and brother-in-law Robert (Kelli) Phelps all of Sioux Falls, SD, grandmother-in-law Rita Phelps of Sioux Falls, SD, grandfather-in-law Gordon Van Ash of Pierre, SD, as well as many aunts, uncle, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Herb Nolte and Kenneth Erickson and grandparents-in-law, Eugene Phelps and Lois Van Ash.
