ROSLYN- Jane Holland, 78 of Roslyn died on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Roslyn, SD. Her funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Fron Lutheran Church near Roslyn, with Rev. Jan FitzGibbon and Janet Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Monday 4-8 P.M. and prior to services on Tuesday. Jane Ardys Eidahl was born on Thursday, May 2, 1929 to John and Agnes (Gilbertson) Eidahl at Pierpont, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at Fron Lutheran Church near Roslyn. She attended District 202 country school near her home and then graduated from Roslyn High School in 1947. In June of 2007 she attended her 60th Class Reunion. On November 23, 1948 she married Arnie Holland at Fron Lutheran Church near Roslyn. After their marriage the couple farmed near Langford for two years and then moved to Roslyn. She babysat for various families and then worked as a cook at Strand-Kjorsvig Community Rest Home for 25 years until retirement. Mr. Holland passed away in March 2004. After his death she continued living in Roslyn until the present time. She was a member of Fron Lutheran Church where she was active in the Love Circle. Jane was an avid doll collector and world’s best doughnut maker. She also was a great fan of Roslyn Creamery Company Jamboree. Her greatest joy was spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly was loved by all who knew her. Jane passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Roslyn, South Dakota at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 23 days. Grateful for sharing her life are two sons, Dennis (Rita) Holland of Rogers, MN and Brian (Lana) Holland of Webster, SD; one daughter, Pam (Tom) Steiner of Eden, SD; one brother, Eldon (Carolyn) Eidahl of Aberdeen, SD; two sisters, Maurine Brendmoen of Webster, SD and Shirley (Tubby) Schmidt of Roslyn, SD; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
