WEBSTER- Ellen Gellerman 95 of Bristol and Formally of Webster died on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Sun Dial Manor in Bristol. Her funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster, Rev. Leslie Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Friday, 4-8 P.M. and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Ellen Mary Roberts was born on Friday, September 23, 1910 to Morris and Jennie (Williamson) Roberts at Jasper, Minnesota. She grew up there and graduated from high school in 1928. Then she attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls. She was employed at the State Capitol in Pierre and also in Sioux Falls. On June 2, 1934 she married Frank Gellerman of Waubay at St. Paul, Minnesota. After their marriage the couple made their home in Waubay. During the next 55 years of their marriage the couple lived at Waubay, Sioux Falls and Aberdeen. After Mr. Gellerman retired the couple returned to Webster in 1975. Mr. Gellerman passed away in May 1989. After his death she continued to live in Webster until she entered Sun Dial Manor in Bristol in October 1994. For many years Ellen was active in the Episcopal Church, both in Webster and in Aberdeen, where she held several local and state offices. She was a member of P.E.O., Gray Ladies and Hospital Auxiliary. She was an active member of Eastern Star, the progressive reading circle and the Thursday Evening Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, bowling, gardening, golf and time spent with family and friends. Ellen was also an avid Minnesota Twins fan. Survivors include one son, Fred (Lois) Gellerman of Sioux Falls, SD; one daughter, Frances (Monte) Rougemont of Roslyn, SD; one brother, Rowland (Vel) Roberts of Blunt, SD; one sister, Margaret Loe of Webster, SD; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Robin.
