Elizabeth "Betty" Weyh

Elizabeth "Betty" Weyh, 73, of Webster, passed away, Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2024, at the funeral home. 

Elizabeth Marie Weyh was born on May 23, 1951, to Conrad and Pearl (Young) Weyh at Webster, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ the King Catholic Church in Webster. She attended school in Webster and graduated in 1969. After high school, she joined the United States Navy. She was received a medical honorable discharge and the furthered her education at Watertown Business College. Betty then moved to Redfield and eventually returned to Webster. She worked at various businesses in Webster including Dakotah Inc., Bethesda Home, The Galley, and Casey’s. 

Betty was a member of the Webster VFW Auxiliary, Webster High School Reunion Committee, and Boy Scouts of America fundraiser organizer. She had several hobbies including bowling, shooting pool, playing cards and board games with family. Betty also enjoyed crafting, sudoku puzzles, watching game shows on television, as well as the Minnesota Twins & Vikings. She loved cooking and baking for her family and had a love for Facebooking with a genuine interest and sense of pride as she watched all those around her live successful and happy lives. Perhaps her greatest accolade, was her sense of humor and sarcasm. Betty always offered a small dose of humor that seemed to always be appropriate for any situation. She joked and made light of matters despite her own personal struggles and truly enjoyed other people’s happiness. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. 

Betty passed away December 7, 2024, at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 14 days.

She will be forever loved and greatly missed by her sons Chad (Tanna) Weyh of Russell, MN and Chris Weyh of Milbank, SD, grandchildren, Brendan (Lexi Galvan) Bertamus and Lilie (Braden Timm) Bertamus, great-grandchildren, Layla, Harper, Roman, and Violet. She is also survived by four siblings, Donnie (Linda0 Weyh of Ashton, IL, Paul Weyh of Sioux Falls, SD, Alice (Craig) Mundt of Onida, SD, Susie (Jeff) Van Patten of Webster, south Dakota, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Carol Niemeyer, Lois Gonsor, and Helen Weyh.
