WEBSTER- Dr. Warren Sewell, 87 of Webster died on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Sanford Hospital in Webster. His funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Webster, Rev. John Hisel officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be at Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service on Friday, 4-8 P.M. with a 7 P.M. Masonic Service. Visitation will continue at the church prior to services on Saturday. Warren Lowell Sewell was born on Tuesday, October 12, 1920 to Everett A. and Ruth (Page) Sewell at New Hampton, Iowa. When he was two years old the family moved to Webster, South Dakota. He attended elementary school and graduated from Webster High School in 1938. He attended South Dakota State University for a year and then the University of South Dakota for two years, and then graduated from Northwestern Dental School in Chicago in 1944. In October 1944 he entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas and then was deployed to Korea for a year. On July 14, 1946 he married Martha Jean Chrouch at Little Rock, Arkansas. After their marriage the couple lived at Ft. Lewis, Washington. After he was honorably discharged in November 1946 they moved to Webster. Warren maintained his dental practice until he retired in 1994. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Webster. He was very active in many aspects of his profession including the South Dakota Dental Association where he was a past president and the South Dakota State Board of Dental Examiners. He also was a member of Coteau Lodge #54 A.F. & A.M. where he was recently honored as a 60 year member. Warren belonged to the Webster Kiwanis Club, Herbert McKennett Post 40 American Legion and Webster V.F.W. Post 4690. His passions were his family, profession and waterfowl hunting. Warren passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Webster, South Dakota at the age of 87 years and 18 days. Survivors include his wife, Martha of Webster; two sons, Graig (Martha) Sewell of Valley Springs, SD and Mark (Dori) Sewell of Dahlgren, VA; one daughter Lynne (Dr. Tom) Pillar of Sioux Falls, SD; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
