Dorothy D. Eidet

Dorothy Eidet, 89, of Watertown and formerly of Waubay passed away Monday July 26, 2021, at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Fiksdal Funeral Service, and will be livestreamed on fiksdalfuneral.com. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Waubay, SD. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent c/o Neil Anderson 13755 450th Ave Waubay, SD 57273 Dorothy Darlene Richardt was born on December 16, 1931, to Lawrence and Beatrice (Grant) Richardt on the family farm near Waubay. She attended school near the family home. On December 18, 1947, she married Lyle Franklin Anderson at Ortley, SD. After their marriage the couple made their home on a farm near Waubay. To this union four children were born. On August 16, 1971, she married Dwayne Philip Eidet at Reno, NV. After their marriage the couple made their home on Blue Dog Lake. Dorothy was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Waubay VFW, American Legion Auxiliary, the Waubay Senior Citizen Club. She enjoyed embroidering, canning peaches, baking pie and angel food cake, snapdragon flowers, and playing cards. Later in life, she and Dwayne enjoyed taking the grandchildren on vacations. She will be missed by her three sons: Neil (Deb) Anderson, John (Linda) Anderson, and Donald Anderson all of Waubay, SD; one sister Beverly (Harlan) Bachmann of Watertown, SD, brother-in-law: Bob Grebel of Waubay, SD; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dwayne, two sisters: Loreen Aker and Florence Davis, and an infant daughter Barbara Anderson.
