Dorothy Copley, 60 of Webster died on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at her home in Webster. Dorothy Jean (Maattala) Copley was born in Crosby MN to David and Bernice (Roff) Maattala on March 3, 1952. She attended and graduated from Crosby High School in 1970. She married Roland Copley in Aitkin, MN on January 17, 1970. They enjoyed 42 wonderful years together. Roland and Dorothy had two beautiful sons. Shane Copley born in Aitkin on March 27, 1971 and Lance Copley born in Crosby on September 29. 1973. Dorothy and Roland moved to Webster SD in 1981 and resided there until 1988 when they moved to Aberdeen SD. In 2004 they decided to move back to Webster, SD. Dorothy was recently working with the residents of the Heritage Apartments and was a personal caregiver to a few area residents until her death. Out of all the things in her life that meant the most was her family, especially her only grandchild Landon Copley, born in 2001, which she just couldn’t get enough of. Dorothy enjoyed her cats, visiting the neighbors, taking care of the elderly and spoiling Landon. She is survived by her loving husband Roland, devoted sons; Shane (Darci) Copley, adoring grandson Landon Copley Wilmot, SD and Lance Copley, Redfield, SD, four brothers, and two sisters, four sisters-in-law and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and one brother. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. She was an awesome lady and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. God Bless you Dorothy!
