Demetria Harty

ROSLYN- Demetria Harty, 9 daughter of Ken & Sue Harty of Roslyn died on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at her home near Roslyn. Her funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 19, 2005 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel in Webster, Rev. Jesse Hopewell officiating. Visitation will be at the Community Center at Old Agency on Sunday 1:00 - 6:00 P.M. and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home. Demetria Lena Kay Harty was born on Monday, January 8, 1996 at Sisseton, South Dakota. When she was thirteen months old she was adopted by Ken and Susan (Gruba) Harty of rural Roslyn. At the age of two and one-half years she suffered from a complication of heart surgery which left her as a special needs child which required special people to help care for her at her home. Her family wants to thank everyone who participated in her care at home. Demetria passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at her home near Roslyn, South Dakota at the age of 9 years, 11 months and 6 days. Survivors include her parents, Ken and Sue Harty of Roslyn, SD; four brothers, Rob (Dilani) Harty and Paul Harty both of Arlington, WA, Chad (Angie) Harty of Lynnwood, WA and Josh Harty of Madison, WI; two sisters, Atarah (Travis) Benthin of Webster, SD and Aaliyah Renville at home; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.
