Delores Peschke, 93, of Webster passed away Tuesday November 10, 2020 at Sanford Hospital Webster.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday November 18, 2020 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster. Father Doug Binsfeld will officiate.
Inurnment will be St. Otto’s Catholic Cemetery near Webster.
Delores Gronke was born at Holmquist, South Dakota on February 23, 1927 to John and Verna (Ewalt) Gronke. She was baptized at St. Otto’s Catholic Church in Webster, South Dakota and confirmed at the Immaculate Conception Church in Waubay, South Dakota. She attended Waubay Public School through one year of high school. The family then moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1942 and she graduated from Washburn High School in 1945. She was employed at Sawyer Photo Graphic Factory as a billing clerk.
On October 27, 1956 she married Donald Peschke at North Lake, Delaware. The couple made their home in Chicago until 1967. Then they moved to the Peschke family farm due to the death of Mr. Peschke’s brother. In 1977 they moved into Webster, where she was employed at the Breske Café for 13 years, 2 years at the Dakota Diner and for the past 13 years at Bethesda Nursing Home.
She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church. She loved to play bingo, cards, crossword puzzles, watch baseball especially the Minnesota Twins, Cubs, and White Sox.
Survivors are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, parents John and Verna (Ewalt) Gronke, one sister Valentine Farmen, three brothers Ted, Edward, and Roman Gronke, and six brothers-in-law, Paul, John, and Tony Peschke, Martin Gollnick, Harold Carron and Rolland Farmen, six sisters-in-law Helen and Mabel Peschke, Clara Gollnick, Mary Carron, Margaret and Leona Gronke.
