The couple made their home in Bristol. She drove school bus and worked at Sun Dial Manor. Franz passed away in 1971. Delila kept active with gardening, crocheting and painting. She liked to embroider, made many quilts and afghans, giving them to family and friends. In 1959 the family bought a lot at Blue Dog Lake and she spent many happy hours there. She worked hard, was willing to help others and spoke her mind whether asked for or not. She was still joking with the nurses at the hospital up to the very end.
