Catherine Page, 79 of Webster died Sunday January 8, 2012 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 12, 2012 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Webster, Rev. Daniel Ostercamp will officiate. Burial will be in the Webster Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home then continuing at the church one hour prior to services on Thursday.
Catherine Cicely Webb was born on Tuesday, March 1, 1932 to Franklin and Cicely (Dyer) Webb at Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, England. She was baptized in the Episcopal Church and wasraised and educated in the Cheltenham area. After completing school she worked in retail in Cheltenham.
She met Darrell Page while he was serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in England. They were united in marriage on August 16, 1952 in Cheltenham. The couple made their home in the various places he was stationed during his military career, including England, Germany, Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. After he was discharged they lived at Anoka, Minnesota. In 1974 they moved to Webster where Cathy worked for the Webster Public School System in their food service. Darrell passed away in April 2002. After his death she continued to live in Webster and was working part-time for Webster Schools at the time of her death.She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Webster and the American Legion Auxiliary. Cathy had a passion for knitting, traveling and visiting family and friends. One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow, who knew her as "Grandma Sunshine". She always enjoyed the kids at the school and loved sharing stories and speaking to them about her life growing up during World War II.
Catherine passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 7 days.
Survivors include one son, Robert (Pam) Page of Webster, SD; three daughters, Sharon (Terry) Brekke and Virginia (Greg) Klein both of Watertown, SD and Dianne (Ray) Madrigal of Marshall, MN; one brother, Stan (Joan) Webb of England; two sisters, Joyce Hodgeson and MildredEvans of England; a special friend, John Sinner of Webster; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
