Beverly Johnson was born on November 8, 1934 to Andrew and Josephine (Peterson) Johnson at Webster, South Dakota. She was born a triplet, but the only one to survive. She was baptized and confirmed at American Lutheran Church in Webster. Beverly attended school in Webster and graduated from Webster High School. After graduation, she started working at Lorraine’s House of Beauty in Webster. In 1955, she met the love of her life, Walter Johnson. The couple married November 26, 1960 at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. To this union three boys were born: Leigh, Larry, and Wayne. The family made their home north of Webster where Walter farmed, and Beverly was a homemaker raising their boys as well as helping manage the family farm. In earlier years, while a member at American Lutheran Church, Beverly taught Sunday School and Bible School and was active in circle groups. She was a talented embroiderer having created beautiful quilt blocks for Tabor Church fancywork fundraisers as well as many hand-crafted gifts for her grandchildren. Puzzles and card games were fun pastimes for Beverly, but bowling was her favorite! She was a selfless person and served as a volunteer at Needs Anonymous for 20 years. Above all else, Beverly cherished her family. She will be greatly missed for her kind heart and witty sense of humor.

She will be forever loved by her husband of nearly 60 years Walter, three sons: Leigh (Kari) Johnson, Larry (Dawn) Johnson, and Wayne (Nancy) Johnson all of Webster, SD and one brother-in-law Norman Perttula of Aurora, OH.
