WEBSTER- Ashley Charron 21 of Webster passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster. Celebrating the Mass will be Bishop Joseph Charron, Monsignor James Andraschko and Fr. David Axtmann. Burial will be in St. Otto’s Cemetery, Webster. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Friday 2-4 P.M. then continuing at the church until 8:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary and scriptural wake service. The Ashley Charron Memorial Fund has been established at Dakotah Bank, P.O. Box 596, Webster, SD 57274. Ashley Maurine Charron was born on Sunday, May 18, 1986 to David and Bonnie (Boyer) Charron at Gettysburg, South Dakota. She was baptized at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Seneca. In 1989 the family moved to Webster where she began elementary school and then graduated from Webster High School in 2004. At the present time she was a student at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota where she was majoring in Elementary Education. Her dream was to become a 3rd grade teacher. While in high school she was active in Volleyball, Girl’s Basketball, Track and many other school activities. In her senior year, while she was battling cancer, she was chosen as a member of the South Dakota All State Volleyball Team. Ashley had many great loves in her life, her family, friends and spending time at the family lake home on Enemy Swim Lake. She loved all water activities including, pontooning, riding seadoo, wake boarding, tubing and boating. And her dog, K.C. was always a constant companion. Ash fought a courageous battle against her cancer diagnosis for almost five years. Her love of life and bright smile was and will always be remembered as an inspiration to anyone who ever met her. Ashley passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at her home on Enemy Swim Lake at the age of 21 years, 5 months and 5 days. Survivors include her parents, David and Bonnie Charron of Webster; a sister, Jessica Charron of Webster,SD; her paternal grandparents, Jack and Maurine Charron of Sturgis, SD; her maternal grandparents, Dick and Barb Boyer of Webster, SD; her loving boyfriend, Brent Fosheim of Webster, SD; and several uncles, aunts and many cousins.
