ROSLYN- Arnold Zakrzewski, 68 of Roslyn died on Monday, June 25, 2007 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 29, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grenville with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster on Thursday 4-8 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary and then continue at the church on Friday one hour prior to services. Arnold Peter Zakrzewski was born on February 13, 1939 to Theodore and Philamena (Wika) Zakrzewski at Waubay, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grenville where he also attended school. He later joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany. After he returned home he started a shingling business along with his brother Robert. On August 27, 1986 he married Rose Jensen at Webster, South Dakota. After their marriage the couple made their home in Roslyn, South Dakota. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry work, bingo, cooking and baking, watching his favorite TV shows Matlock and MASH, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Arnold passed away Monday June 25, 2007 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 68 years, 4 months, and 12 days. Survivors include his wife Rose of Roslyn, SD; two sons: Justin and Keith of Roslyn, SD; one daughter Jennifer of Roslyn, SD; one stepdaughter Dawn (Dave) Siemonsma of Colton, SD; three brothers: Ted (Sally) Zakrzewski of Thorton, CO; Damian (JoAnn) Zakrzewski of St. Paul, MN; James (Teresa) Zakrzewski of Maplewood, MN; one sister Michaelena (Ray) William of Fridley, MN; one sister-in-law Rita Zakrzewski of Webster, SD and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert and one granddaughter.
