Amanda "Mandy" Czmowski

WEBSTER – Amanda “Mandy” Czmowski 95 of Bristol and formerly of Webster passed away Sunday August 5, 2018 at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday August 9, 2018 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Webster, Fr. Melvin Kuhn will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ottos Cemetery Amanda Anna Shemanski came into this world on March 8th, 1923 in Grenville, SD. Walter and Anna Shemanski were told to hold and love their very small 1st child who was 3 months premature, and to warm her with hot water bottles in a shoe box bed. She beat the odds and experienced life for over 95 years. “Mandy” enjoyed life’s up and endured life’s downs. The hard times of the thirties and wartime of the forties taught her to enjoy everything good, small and big. She had 4 “F’s” in her life, faith, family, friends, and flowers. Mandy quietly passed her faith onto her 2 daughters, both with very different personalities, but both firmly rooted in the Christian beliefs because of her example. Sunday dinners, at Grandma’s and Wanda’s, gathered both close and extended family together. These meals were a source of joy for her. She loved her job as a salesperson. Many coworkers and customers became friends of hers on many levels. Flowers made Mandy smile from one ear to the other, especially stargazer lilies. She loved the color pink, fun clothes, lipsticks, the color pink, reading magazines, angels, and the color pink. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, decorating her home and having people visit. She always hoped that her idea of Christmas helped others enjoy it as much as she did. Mandy has gone on to be with her many loved ones. Think of Mandy and smile the next time you walk around or through a garden. .
