December 23, 1924 — March 16, 2008

WEBSTER: Aletha Timmins, 83, of Webster, died on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Fiksdal Funeral Chapel, Webster; Rev. Carl Thurston officiating. There will be no visitation. Aletha Mae Coster was born on December 23, 1924 to Clarence and Letitia (Minick) Coster in Percival, Iowa. She attended school in Desmet, South Dakota. After her education she moved to Lake Preston, South Dakota where she married Joe Thedorff. She worked at Lake Preston Creamery and later became an LPN and was employed at Lake Preston Manor. Mr. Thedorff passed away in 1973. Aletha then moved to Chelan, Washington where she married Paul Timmins. While in Chelan, she worked at the local hospital. Mr. Timmins passed away in 1984. After his death she moved to Aberdeen, South Dakota where she did home health care. While living in Aberdeen she was baptized at the First United Pentecostal Church. In 1997 she moved to Pleasant View in Webster, South Dakota. She wrote the Pleasant View News for the Reporter & Farmer Newspaper. She was a member at First United Pentecostal Church in Aberdeen and was involved with the Eagles for 25 years in Chelan. Aletha passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Aberdeen, South Dakota at the age of 83 years, two months, and 22 days. She is survived by one son; Joe Thedorff Jr. of Chelan, WA, two daughters; Connie (Robert) Anderson of Tea, SD and Diana (Richard) Rasmussen of Farmington, MN, one brother; Robert Coster of Sioux Falls, SD, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one sister, and one adopted son.
